***NEW WINTER TRAINING PROGRAM ADDITIONS THIS YEAR***

(Keep reading for all the details.)

The Fall season and Spring Season make up the two major playing seasons in youth soccer. Ambush Soccer Club consistently competes in both, but over time, our members have asked for more! At the same time, it is important that athletes find a balance between competing at a high level and taking care of their physical health.

At Ambush, we’ve found the solution and balance that has worked great for over 10 years.

Ambush Soccer Club introduces the 11th season for our Winter Training Program.

Winter training registration will be available for our currently registered Jr. Academy, Academy, SCCL, NPL, and DPLO players.

For our Ambush rec players and all other players outside of Ambush, we will once again host the 2 nd annual Ambush Soccer Winter Skills Camp on Jan 24-26. Follow our website for details.

EXCITING **NEW** ADDITION TO WINTER TRAINING

Announcing for the first time ever at Ambush, we are adding indoor futsal training to our traditional winter training program. Two (2) of the traditional 12 winter training sessions will now be indoor at the Valor Christian Academy gymnasium. The indoor sessions will be on Saturdays and will take the place of the Wednesday or Thursday session that same week. Schedules will be published in early November.

What is futsal?

Futsal is an indoor version of soccer but played with a different ball and rules. As the balls have less bounce, they tend to stay in play longer and promote close ball control. After playing in enclosed areas and learning to think and react quickly, players find when they play the full game they react well under pressure. Playing in enclosed areas develops creativity; players are also constantly placed in demanding decision- making situations in enclosed areas which is a major reason why Futsal is one of the finest teachers of the quick pass and move. In soccer it is very hard to defend against a team that is adept at this type of play. Playing the beautiful game of soccer is developed through Futsal.

Children also learn through repetition and practice in small areas this occurs naturally. As Futsal is fast and action packed, fitness is improved while learning and having fun. We find children love playing Futsal. It is exciting, many goals are scored, and the game is devoid of complex rules such as offside. Children learn so much faster if they enjoy the game and spend a lot of time playing with the ball.

Winter Training Registration

All competitive Ambush players are strongly encouraged to register. We average 95% participation in this program.

Teams that have great participation during the winter training season will also have a much more successful Spring season. With the addition of futsal training, we expect to see even greater results next spring.

Your coach during the Fall season will be your coach for Winter training.

When registering, it will be for your Fall season team only.

The cost for winter training and futsal is $120.

Registration for Jr. Academy, Academy and Select players is now open in your PlayMetrics app.
